Outreach staff from the Seattle Aquarium came out to our summer youth program today to talk about what they can see on the beach. This is in preparation for next week's trip to the South Alki Beach conservation area.The kids learned about different marine animals (Do you know what a Tidepool Sculpin is??), how to handle them in the wild, and why the ocean is so important to our environment.
This is just one of many fun (but educational) activities the kids enjoy in our summer program. If you can't get to the beach this summer, at least go check out the newly renovated Seattle Aquarium!
